Pest Control Plans in Fresno: What a Plan Includes and What It Costs

A pest control plan is recurring service that keeps protection in place instead of reacting once pests are already inside. San Joaquin Pest Control has served the Central Valley since 1972, and our plans run on a monthly schedule because the products we apply stay active for about 30 days. That is the honest interval for keeping a barrier working.

What a Plan Costs

PropertyInitial visitOngoing service
Up to 3,000 square feet About $150, which includes the full first treatment $55 a month
Larger properties Call (559) 291-2200 for a quote, since the initial visit is priced to the property.

Every property is different, so the number that matters is the one you get for your address. Call us and we will tell you what your initial visit and monthly service would cost before anything is scheduled.

What the Initial Visit Includes

The first visit is the full treatment, not an inspection alone. We apply the same 4-step exterior barrier we use on every plan:

  • Foundation. We treat a larger area than the competition to create a stronger barrier of protection.
  • Perimeter. We treat beyond the structure and inspect for nesting sites and potential issues throughout the yard.
  • Yard Granules. Granules in the yard create a kill-zone before your house and eliminate nesting sites.
  • De-Webbing. We knock down wasp nests and cobwebs throughout the eaves of the home.

Products are registered with the U.S. EPA and applied according to label directions, which is what protects people, pets and the environment around them.

Why Monthly Service

  • The product is active for about 30 days. After that, the barrier is no longer doing the job it was applied for. A monthly visit keeps a working barrier in place all year.
  • The seasons change the pests. Spring brings ant colonies and stinging insects, summer pushes moisture-seeking roaches and spiders indoors, and fall and winter drive rodents through any gap they can find. Each visit is adjusted to what is active at the time.
  • Exclusion stops the next pest. Sealing entry points is what keeps a new pest from replacing the one we removed, and those openings get checked as part of service.
  • It protects the structure, not just the room. Termites and rodents cause damage that costs far more to repair than to prevent. UC IPM advises professional termite inspections every 3 to 5 years at minimum, because infestations can go undetected for years.

Between Visits: How Callbacks Work

Give the treatment time to do its job. We ask you to leave the first application to work for about two weeks. If activity continues after that, a technician can return for a spot treatment in the affected area.

Inspections and Fees

  • Termites: a visit to look and see is typically free. If you need a report for refinancing or an escrow transaction, there may be an inspection fee, because that is a documented report rather than a service call.
  • Bed bugs: a bed bug inspection is $45, and that fee counts toward your treatment if you book it.
  • Rodents: a rodent inspection is $45, and that fee also counts toward treatment.

Ask when you call what applies to your situation and we will tell you before anything is scheduled.

One-Time Treatments

A single treatment is available if you have one settled problem and no interest in ongoing service. Worth knowing: because the product stays active for about 30 days, a one-time visit covers one window of time rather than a season. If pests are seasonal at your property, ask us to price both options so you can compare them.

Pest Control Plans FAQ

How much does a pest control plan cost in Fresno?

For properties up to 3,000 square feet, the initial visit is about $150 and includes the full first treatment. Ongoing service is $55 a month. Larger properties are quoted individually, because the initial visit is priced to the property. Call (559) 291-2200 and we will tell you what yours would cost.

How often should pest control be applied in the Central Valley?

Monthly, because the products we apply stay active for about 30 days. After that the barrier is no longer doing the job it was applied for. Each visit is also adjusted to what is active at that time of year, from spring ants to fall and winter rodents.

Do you charge for inspections?

Termite visits to look and see are typically free, but if you need a report for refinancing or an escrow transaction there may be an inspection fee. Bed bug and rodent inspections are $45, and that fee counts toward your treatment if you book it. Ask when you call and we will confirm before anything is scheduled.

What happens if pests come back between scheduled visits?

Give the treatment time to work. We ask you to leave the first application for about two weeks. If activity continues after that, a technician can return for a spot treatment in the affected area.

Is a one-time treatment cheaper than a plan?

It can be, for a single settled problem, and we will tell you when that is the case. Worth knowing: the product stays active for about 30 days, so one visit covers a window of time rather than a season. If your pests are seasonal, ask us to price both options so you can compare.
